Nice maisonette apartment with 5 bedrooms in a classic Berlin apartment building

The so called „Mirror Apartment“ is located on the ground floor and on the second floor of an classic Berlin apartment building close to main train station and the Fritz-Schloss park.
The name of the apartment is derived from a very big mirror. The two floors are connected via an internal larch wood stair. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, two bathrooms a big living room and 5 bedrooms. All bedrooms have queen size beds and there are two additional mobile beds for two more quests. The kitchen has a modern stove, dishwasher, a big fridge with integrated freezer, coffee brewer, water cooker and much more. The window view on the backyard is like a look back in the history of this part of Berlin and shows the old brick building of a two storey horse stable, which belongs to the black smith workshop around the corner.

The apartment is located in the North of the Tiergarten Park in the lively but not to crowdy part called "Stephankiez".

Parties or celebrations are not allowed.

The next underground station (Birkenstrasse) and the next S-Bahn station (Westhafen) are about 700 meters away. Bus stops of the line 123 are about 300 meters from the apartment, which takes you in a few minutes to the main train station (Hauptbahnhof). From there the political city centre with Reichstag building and Brandenburg Gate are easy to reach.

The Berlin administration requires a registration for overnight guests.

Close to the metro and very clean and nice rooms for a big group. Especially the big living room is nice to have dinner/breakfast or gamenights. They even have a free parking spot behind the building. Would def recommend!

We staid at the "Mirror" / "Spiegel" appartment with a group of 8 over the New Year 2023. Our stay went seamlessly; we were given the option of an early check-in and an even earlier luggage drop. Upon arrival, the appartment was perfectly clean. Especially the 2 bathrooms were spotless, which is worth mentioning on this platform. The kitchen is well equiped, with more than enough kitchenware for 12+ guests. The living room is huge and well-lit (southern exposure, high ceiling) and provides ample seating space to chill out. The bedrooms and beds are comfortable, we slept well. The flat is ideal for 5 couples or 10 friends given that there are "only" 5 bedrooms, but the max. indicated capacity (12 guests at the time of our stay) is perfectly realistic given the available equipment, huge surface, and comfy-looking spare beds. Location is okay; not much to do in this part of town, but there are many public transport options in the area. Overall, we would stay again! Merci et à bientôt!

Zum wiederholten Male war ich in der Perleberger Straße, immer in verschiedenen Wohnungen in unterschiedlichen Besetzungen. Auch dieses Mal wieder super. Für 11 Menschen sind 2 Bäder vielleicht etwas knapp - aber das wussten wir ja vorher und konnten uns drauf einstellen. Die Zimmer zur Straße sind nachts laut - Oropax nicht vergessen. Zum Hinterhof ist es wunderbar ruhig.

Wir haben zwei Tage im Appartement verbracht. Es ist sehr großzügig und modern eingerichtet, es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Sogar ein Laptop war vorhanden, den wir zwar nicht brauchten, aber sonst noch nirgendwo vorgefunden haben.Tolle Küche mit allem, was man benötigt und neben den 5 großzügigen Schlafräumen auch zwei große und moderne Bäder! Ein absolut empfehlenswertes Appartement zu einem angemessenen Preis. Wir werden es weiterempfehlen !

Our stay at the Mirror aparment was excellent. All facilties are good. The kitchen is well equiped and the machinery works fine. Good beds, pillows are awefull however. Location is good in the sense that you can move around easily but no nice restaurants in the vicinity.

Together with 7 friends we rented the mirror apartment for 5 nights and we had a wonderful time. The apartment has two stories with 5 big bedrooms, comfortable beds and everything was clean and organised. The apartment has two bathrooms, both equipped with a bathtub and shower, and one has an additional shower. The apartment is perfect to explore Berlin, with a lot of options for public transport closeby, some dinner options and multiple supermarkets in the surrounding area. I would recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to check out Berlin!

es war alles vorhanden, was man braucht, die Unterkunft ist auch für große Gruppen sehr gut geeignet. Lediglich in den zur Straße gerichteten Zimmern hat man den Verkehr abends und nachts recht lauf gehört

We had a fantastic weekend in the mirror apartment - there is a big mirror but it’s the quirky artwork that really stands out! It’s a little way out from the centre but well connected with underground and overground trains once you get used to them. There is a supermarket 50m away which was more than adequate for our needs.

Very well equipped apartment. Everything works and is very comfortable. Lots of nice little extras like providing detergent for washing machine and dishwasher, lots of info on local area. Very thoughtfully done. Points to be aware: there are only two bathrooms (could be issue with a very large group) and there isn't a station in close walking distance. There is an excellent bus service from close to the door though.

We were very lucky to find the Mirror apartment as for our size of group, the choices were few & far between! It was perfect for our group of 9, reasonably priced, not too far out of the city centre & well connected with transport options. Berlinlofts were a pleasure to deal with, excellent communication & information sharing before we arrived & very flexible with us arriving early with bags to store & again after check-out etc. Would highly recommend both Berlinlofts & the Mirror apartment & would definitely try to book again for future visits to Berlin.

There wee 9 of us, so it was tricky finding an air bnb large enough for all of us. We loved the apartment, it's a really good size, clean, and about a 10-15 minute walk to the Birkenstrasse ubahn. Would definitely stay here again.

Very spacious and clean. Located in a very quiet area and about a 20 minute walk from the main tourist areas (Reichstag etc.) however public transport is nearby if needed. Bedrooms (5) are large and the kitchen, bathrooms and living area are also very good. I do not believe you would be disappointed if you stayed here.
